Kaitlyn Ferry, Joel Rockey - Justice Rains (Psalm 110)

from Stewarding Praise (Psalms 107-112) by Cardiphonia Music

/

about

From the writers: "Joel and Kaitlyn met in a Biblical Storytelling seminary class and the creative potential of collaboration was inevitable. Both had extensive experience setting Psalms to tunes and were eager to take on the challenge of making sure Melchizedek was no longer excluded from the Psalter."

lyrics

The Lord says, stay at my right hand
until I rest your feet upon your rival's head.
Until the serpent is crushed into dust underneath your feet,
rule with justice even amid your enemies.

And oh how the body count
rises while justice rains down;
drink now from the fount of life,
rise up from the ground.

Like dew from the morning's tender womb,
those brimming with life will stand with you,
valleys of hatred and greed are filled with the dead in the aftermath,
no cruelty nor injustice will escape God's wrath.

In the order of Melchizedek,
Forever a priest and a king.
In the order of Melchizedek,
from this vow the Lord will not concede,
from this vow the Lord will not concede.
From this vow the Lord will not concede.
