From the artists: "Having served as songwriting soundboards for each other over the years, our first time collaborating on a song and working with an extremely challenging text was an experience of great catharsis. We hope the aggressive hard rock song we created gives voice to the rage and pain of the oppressed, especially in the pandemic era. As longtime friends living four time zones away from each other, we persevered together through the challenges of numerous writing sessions over Zoom and remote recording sessions. In the end we brought out the best in each other as artists and discovered how well our strengths complemented each other. The resultant whole, “Lift Our Heads,” is something we truly believe is greater than the sum of our individual talents."

The depths of our losses lie deeper than the floor of the sea.
Our tears have no meaning to the profit-making machine.
The ones placed above us look away in apathy.
God will you free us? Misery is now our routine.
